**Production Manager**

**About the job**

This position reports to the Site Director and is responsible for the management of production employees and chemical processes to meet production requirements and utilize manpower and equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

**In your future role as a Production Manager, you will**:

- Ensures compliance with company policy, procedures, standards, and mission
- Supervises the production supervisor and the technical assistant and ensures their development
- Is responsible for the fixed and variable costs of the production and shipping cost centers
- Is responsible for improving plant performance
- Provides procedures and work instructions that ensure safe and efficient execution of all tasks, including work permit and lockout/tagout procedures
- Is responsible for the logístical management of salt and chlorate wagons in collaboration with the company's logistics team
- Actively participates in daily and weekly performance meetings and ensures that operational excellence concepts are adhered to
- Is responsible for meeting production planning requirements
- Actively participates in the plant management committee and the plant health and safety committee
- Is responsible for daily performance management through lean management
- Contributes to updating the annual strategic vision and implementing it within their department;
- Is familiar with performance indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Plays an essential role in health, safety, and environmental matters. This role involves critical responsibilities delegated by the plant manager
- Actively participates in the implementation of autonomous maintenance by production and shipping technicians
- Participates in the performance evaluation process of production and shipping employees
- Shares required information with other plant departments to ensure smooth plant operation
- Any other mandate related to production and shipping management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of operational excellence tools
- Experience in operations management
- French and English (written and spoken, advanced level)

**Dans votre futur rôle de Gérant de production, vous allez**:

- Assurer le respect des politiques, procédures, normes et mission de l'entreprise
- Superviser le superviseur de production et l'assistant technique et assurer leur développement
- Être responsable des coûts fixes et variables des centres de coûts de production et d'expédition
- Être responsable de l'amélioration de la performance de l'usine
- Fournir des procédures et des instructions de travail garantissant l'exécution sûre et efficace de toutes les tâches, y compris les permis de travail et les procédures de cadenassage
- Être responsable de la gestion logistique des wagons de sel et de chlorate en collaboration avec l'équipe logistique de l'entreprise
- Participer activement aux réunions de performance quotidiennes et hebdomadaires et veiller à ce que les concepts d'excellence opérationnelle soient respectés
- Être responsable de la satisfaction des exigences de planification de la production
- Participer activement au comité de direction de l'usine et au comité de santé et de sécurité de l'usine
- Être responsable de la gestion quotidienne des performances grâce au lean management
- Contribuer à la mise à jour de la vision stratégique annuelle et à sa mise en œuvre au sein de votre département
