**Day to day responsibilities **as agreed with your Line Manager to include:

- provide general administrative activities to the organisation to include filing, data entry, typing and assisting in the management of communications and paperwork, managing diaries, assisting with travel arrangements/organisation, looking after visitors and assisting with general reception and telephone duties
- assist Line Manager to make improvements and implement required changes
- assist Line Manager to liaise with external agencies relation to administration matters
- reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis as agreed
- achieve agreed personal targets and assist Line Manager in to achieve team targets
- ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
- contribute towards the smooth running of the team

**General Administrative Duties**

General administrative assistants are responsible for managing projects, opening and distributing mail, organizing files, and conducting general research. They may also be in charge of other basic administrative duties, such as ordering office supplies and communicating with vendors. Other tasks include:

- Drafting documents and correspondence
- Preparing reports
- Proofreading
- Scheduling
- Providing telephone support
- Transcribing

**General Office Administration Requirements**

General administration duties require people in this position to possess excellent typing skills, strong oral and written skills, and the ability to communicate well with others. They must be able to work independently or on a team with other administrative professionals.

Knowledge of computers, software, databases, and word processing programs is necessary. Assistants must also be able to operate general office equipment, such as a copy machine, fax machine, multi-line telephone system, and scanner.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: $54.12-$75.97 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- On call

Supplemental pay types:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
