Hyper-v Consultant

Job Description:
Responsible for supporting and managing the Windows environments for multiple clients across multiple technologies. Configuring new Hyper-V environment following Microsoft with clustering. Migrating VMware virtual machines to Hyper-V environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Server administration: Windows, Vmware, Hyper-V, Backup, Storage and Network devices;

**Responsibilities**:

- Experience with both virtualization technology such as VMWare, or Hyper-v
- 5 yrs+ Hyper V and VMware ESXi management, installation and configuration (VMotion, DRS, HA, P2V)
- Good analytical and root cause analysis skills
- Strong technical experience troubleshooting Microsoft and Cisco networking technologies
- Demonstrable experience managing VMware Data Center Virtualization products including vSphere and vCenter
- Demonstrable experience with storage devices and protocols in relation to VMware such as NFS and PURE and HPE. Storage Design and Configuration (NFS, FC, iSCSI, SMB)
- Demonstrable experience with supporting the hypervisors bare-metal server, both blade and rack-mount, such as Cisco UCS.
- Assist with developing long term strategies for scaling the technical infrastructure in the areas of data centers, servers, and storage.
- Maintain Documentation of current internal and client hosted infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft specific technologies such, DHCP server, Remote Apps and distributed remote desktop, IIS, Exchange, SQL server, Windows Server management tools.
- Experience working with cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure as well as the services they provide for Orchestration, Logging, Monitoring, and File Storage
- Installing and Configuring the Hyper-V Server Role
- Creating and Managing Virtual Hard Disks, Virtual Machines, and Checkpoints
- Creating and Configuring Virtual Machine Networks
- Virtual Machine Movement and Hyper-V Replica
- Implementing Failover Clustering with Hyper-V

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-8 months

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
