**Job Summary**
- Information Technology Services (ITS) is dedicated to a constructive, team-orientated environment, gathering varied perspectives, sharing knowledge, and building effective partnerships that enable our partners to achieve their goals by advising, providing solutions, and delivering service excellence in alignment with the University’s mission and goals. Reporting to the Manager of Dalhousie Computer Purchases & Hardware Services, the Shipper/Receiver will oversee the manual and automated receiving and shipping of computers, computer accessories, server infrastructure and departmental software for faculty and staff.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain a good working knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and request fulfillment systems (i.e. FootPrints) to ensure operational efficiency.
- Receive orders; verify quantity and condition of order with packing slip/invoice; access FootPrints and LightSpeed (point-of-sale system) to enter details and receive order.
- Liaise with vendors to procure shipping ETAs (estimated time of arrivals) and backorder reports on any open purchase orders.
- Process the return of equipment (damaged or lease returns). Complete shipping forms and record pertinent data.
- Answer inquiries regarding computer procurement process.
- Perform low-level customer upgrades and schedule hardware upgrades with Request Fulfillment; ensuring the record is in FootPrints.

**Note**
- There is a physical component to the position including the movement of pallets. Heavy lifting of five to forty pounds is required for monitors, desktop computers, printers, etc.
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.

**Required Qualifications**
- Business diploma with two to three years’ related experience with a focus on customer service (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Office 365.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
