**Summary**:
This position will be responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager in the planning, execution and completion of Projects at **Nunatsiavut Construction Inc**. This position solves technical problems in research and development, construction, inspection, and maintenance by using science, engineering and mathematical principles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs for projects
- Maintain database with all cost incurred by projects; inform management if costs are expected to be higher then anticipated
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to project team
- Maintain contract execution and project completion log
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Track and manage contemplated change orders and scope changes
- Provide weekly updates on the project statuses
- Visit worksites to inspect and document progress as requested
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Obtain quotes for equipment and material required for projects and prepares purchase orders for authorized signatures;
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Obtain permits and licenses if required for projects
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedule for equipment
- Assist Senior Management in the completion of project tenders
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Promote and monitor occupational health and safety culture within the organization
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Communicate ideas for improving processes with a positive constructive attitude
- Travel to worksites
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum requirement of three (3) year diploma in Engineering Technology with 3 years of related experience. Combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- Well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures
- Analytical mind and great organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles,
- Understanding of health and safety standards and the importance of implementation and compliance
- Class 5 drivers licence

**Assets**:

- Project Management Professionals Certification
- Experience working in remote locations
- Experience in compiling tenders and contracts
