**The Asphalt Plant Operator position is located in Balzac, Alberta.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely load asphalt into trucks for delivery to construction sites
- Control the temperature and mix of asphalt at the plant
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the public at all time
- Perform plant maintenance and repairs as required
- Operate computer controlled equipment used to produce hot mix asphalt
- Effective communication with other employees around the asphalt plant
- Performing other duties as required

**REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 3 years Asphalt Plant experience is required
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to work weekend as required
- Mechanically inclined
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license
- Awareness of surroundings and ability to perform job in a safe manner.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Must be a team player.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
