Community Assistance Program Facilitator

Kelowna & District SHARE Society is an inclusive workplace that has been in operation in the community since 1980. It receives donations from a generous community to give away to those in need and to sell in our thrift store. Proceeds from the thrift store go towards the delivery of our various in-house programs, all of which are focused on addressing the needs of those in our community who are experiencing economic distress.
This position reports to the Executive Assistant.
The CAP Program Facilitator is a central figure in the delivery of the Community Assistance Program which distributes material goods to clients and community partners. Ideally, they will be able to adapt quickly to changing situations and continue smiling
**Administrative Duties**
- Conduct intake interviews to determine client eligibility
- Keep accurate records and prepare reports
- Set up client appointments and follow up
- Support in daily store operations as needed
**Community Outreach Responsibilities**
- Network with community partners to determine need and to advocate for the program
- Explore and identify other target populations who might benefit from the program
- Work with the team of staff and volunteers to develop content for marketing materials that would increase community engagement

- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Proficient with Microsoft Office,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Some Post-Secondary education in a related field or experience in a similar environment;
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to a continuously changing environment
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18-24 per week
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
