1. Responsible for working with all staff to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the individual resident on an ongoing basis.
2. Give a complete and detailed report on an ongoing basis, e.g., to oncoming shift, Administrator.
3. Administer medication as required at appropriate times, and accurate charting of prescribed medications.
4. Follow standards and policies of the residence.
5. Notify Administrator or designate of any changes in resident’s condition also notify family of e.g., falls, injuries, hospitalization.
6. Record pertinent information.
7. Blood pressures, weights, temperatures and pulse completed as scheduled
8. Answer call signals
9. Complete laundry as necessary
10. Complete security rounds and checks and ensure regular rounds are completed.
11. Keep Health Office and med room neat and tidy at all times and be responsible for proper care of equipment.
12. Participate in Fire Safety Program - Fire Manual must be read every six (6) months (dated and signed when read)
13. Adhere to procedures to prevent and/or minimize effect of exposure to health hazards such as infection, disease, aggressive residents, and falls.
14. Help to ensure that all staff performs their duties in the best interest of the resident
15. Act as a professional with proper decorum at all times
16. Keeps oneself abreast of current information available in all aspects of care of the elderly
17. Tasks and responsibilities that may be required by the Administrator.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.01-$18.96 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Copper Cliff, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
