**Job Description**:
**Technical Analyst, Roads Operations & Maintenance**

**Public Works - Transportation**

**Regular Full-Time**

Reporting to the Supervisor of Roads Operations & Maintenance, you will be asked to provide support and expertise in the following areas:

Responsibilities_**

- Review reports and studies for developments in improved maintenance management practices, methods, products and equipment and prepare detailed reports related to same
- Research and develop set-up new initiatives with Support groups on Divisional Asset Management System, ISO Certification, IMT systems, GIS, Power BI, and new reports
- Working with Supervisor to create Roads Annual Operating Budget. Tracking, monitoring and analyzing budget data to ensure accuracy within the ABB Budget System
- Research and solicit information pertaining to new industry technological advances regarding road maintenance. Report on any pertinent changes or advances that could benefit the Region to ensure our participation in Best Practices
- Liaise with internal and external clients on behalf of the entire Yard. Ensuring that all pertinent concerns and information is forwarded to all concerned parties and/or completed
- Keep track of expiry dates to alert Supervisor of upcoming renewals
- Consult and work in conjunction with the Forepersons on any special projects
- Analyze data to assist with costing, administration, set-up, tracking and reporting of Roads Operations and Maintenance section's activities
- Review and analyze data for annual inspection reports and create prioritized repair list recommendations by asset for scheduled work plans for forepersons
- Liaise with Support groups on any asset inventory management i.e. GPS mapping and field asset confirmation
- Develop business cases to support current and proposed new activities
- Monitor and report section's performance to align with divisional KPI's
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Prepare Requests for Invoices for various recoveries, internal, external and MOU agreements
- Develop partnerships or collaborative relationships with other municipalities in order to achieve major program objectives and supply information on practices and procedures to develop trends and best practices

**_ Qualifications_**
**_:_**
- Post-secondary education in Civil Technology program or related field, C.E.T. designation considered an asset
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience or combination of education and experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Experience working with asset management is preferred
- Polished communication skills both through written material and verbally
- Experienced with creating and monitoring operation budget
- Facilitation skills to prepare reports and conduct presentations
- Ability to prioritize workload based on importance displaying a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Excellent analytical skills to identify problems, determine and isolate cause and recommend corrective actions
- Computer proficiency in all facets of MS Office
- Ability to adapt quick to an ever-changing environment
- Team player with ability to work productively with mínimal supervision
- Valid G class driver’s license as having a DZ would be considered an asset
- Experience using Hansen, MAXIMO, Power BI, Survey 123 software considered an asset

**Location**: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 2941 King St W, Caledon, ON_ _worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.

**Hours of Work**:35 hours per week
