Performs the tasks of assembling, auditing and shipping of loaner and consignment surgical sets. The surgical sets consist of many component parts, instruments, and implants, which require complex processing to be delivered to our customers in a timely and accurate manner.

**A day in the life.**

Ø _Performs _a _combination _of _manual _and _clerical _shipping _and _receiving _duties; _may _work out of a central _warehouse. _

Ø _Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and _reporting. _

Ø _Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. _

Ø _Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for _shipment. _

Ø _(un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, _etc. _

Ø _Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to _destinations. _

Ø _Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions _(ADR) _

Assembly / Kit Build:
Ø Completes the assembly of intricate kits composed of many component parts according to customer specifications or Bill of Materials (BOM), including,

o Receive shipments to kit build location and sort components in preparation for assembly

o Verification of physical components and report shipping variances / discrepancies

o Perform kit build replenishment and pack components physically into the set and in SAP, verifying the physical components match the system components.
- Report any backordered items and incomplete sets

Outbound Process:
Ø Process deliveries specific to loaner sets, consignment sets, replacements, etc.

Ø Prepare the sets to meet quality and functionality standards, ensuring completeness and accuracy as identified in process documents.

Ø Prepare packing documents, including pictures, delivery slip, instructions and other required documents.

Ø Complete outbound check list for weight, customer specifications, etc. and send electronic documents to sales reps

Ø Track shipments through FedEx and update delivery monitor file. Follow-up on late shipments.

Inbound process:
Ø Receive kits back from consignments / loaner surgeries that have been through cleaning process.

Ø Perform inbound process according to work instructions for audit and quality inspection of all components in kit, including reassembly and functional testing of applicable components, and replenishment.

Ø Enter count of items in audit program and confirm missing components

Ø Report any damaged or expired items and discrepancies according to non
- conforming inventory procedure, including updating database and preparing for return to BU.

Inventory Management:
Ø Responsible for inventory accuracy of all consignment and loaners sets

Ø Performs physical inventory counts of sets and unpackaged inventory, including set build components.

Ø Process returned consignment items (RCNs) according to instructions for disposition

Ø Perform replenishment on partial sets and communicate backorders to loaner coordinators.

Ø Remove expired inventory from kits as required according to procedure.

Other:
Ø Communicate regularly to Loaner Customer Service and Manager regarding kit availability, missing items, back orders or shortages.

Ø Participate in product training to know and understand applicable cleaning, disassembly and functional testing, and all other required quality training.

Ø Maintain cleanliness of the department and all its related functions - includes but not limited to ensuring that all materials and equipment are stored properly daily, and work area is organized in a professional manner

Ø Participate in weekly team meetings with rotational duties for minutes taking and facilitating

Ø Understand and follow Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Ø Other duties as assigned

**Must Haves.**:
Ø _May require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior _work experience _

Ø _Minimum of relevant 2 years of _experience _

Ø Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)-basic

Ø Highly organized - good time management skills

Ø Adaptability - multi-tasking ability

Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy
