**Job Summary**:This group is responsible for conducting GLP Product Chemistry studies in support of the registration of new UPL AgroSolutions/BioSolutions products. The GLP Laboratory Assistant position will be working closely with a GLP Study Director, who has overall responsibility for the study they are conducting.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform various phases of sample preparation and analysis using a variety of techniques, which may include physical/chemical properties (pH, colour, odour, physical state), storage stability testing, five batch analysis and method validation.
- Use a variety of laboratory instrumentation that may include HPLC (UV, DAD, ToF MS, MS and MS/MS), GC (FID, ECD and MS).
- Complete all analyses using Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and established methods (or methods in development).
- Perform excellent record keeping with strong attention to detail.
- Training in GLP will be provided.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:

- College diploma/degree in Chemistry or related field.
- An interest in analytical chemistry.
- Experience with simple lab techniques, use of balances, separatory funnels, rotary evaporators, volumetric glassware
- Excellent communication capabilities and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to think independently.
- Computer proficient.
