**Job Description: Electrical Inspector**

**Position Summary**:
An Inspector shall have; Suitable experience and a high level of competency such that they are judged competent to perform these duties by the Technical Manager. The responsibilities of this role will vary, ranging from site inspections, to technical reports, to in-depth research into preventative strategies.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist or perform inspections of electrical products and electrical installations.
- Know follow and understand the QMS manual.
- Ensure all work undertaken is within the company’s expertise and the company has the resources to meet the requirements.
- The client’s requirements are adequately defined, any special considerations are understood and clear instructions are issued to staff.
- All work is controlled by regular review and corrective action.
- Completed work is reviewed to confirm that requirements have been met.
- For large jobs there is a written contract which defines the scope.
- Know and interpret drawings and spec packages
- Will perform tasks under the field evaluation program.

Assignment

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- CSA SPE-1000 (applicable revision)
- Canadian Electrical Code Part 1
- Provincial Standards and/or regulations
- Excellent customer service skills, communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to use database systems;
- Strong administrative and analytical skills.
- Has the ability to make professional judgements, to perform the type, range and volume of the inspection activities
- Must hold a valid Electrical journeyman ticket.

**Salary**: $75.00-$85.00 per hour
