The Technical Trainer supports corporate training and learning initiatives by developing and updating operational documents and learning resources. This role is suited to an individual who has the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and synthesize information received into formats for training.

**Job Summary**:
The Technical Trainer supports corporate training and learning initiatives by developing and updating operational documents and learning resources. This role is suited to an individual who has the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and synthesize information received into formats for training.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop a curriculum for our growing team
- Maintain training logs and records
- Contribute expertise for continuous improvement
- Analyze data and processes to quantify gaps/opportunities to make appropriate recommendations to drive process improvement
- Ensures documentation is accurate, complete, and adheres to style guidelines to ensure high quality and usability
- Build short video tutorials
- Analyzes, structures and presents information based on audience needs
- Works closely with the Engineering, Quality and Production team
- Plans the information design deliverables for training new hires
- Quickly learns and develops core product knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education, Certifications & Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education, Engineering background would be an asset
- Technical Communications certificate is desirable.
- Demonstrated history of developing and delivering skills and methods to train adults
- Demonstrated experience with standard documentation tools and technologies (e.g.).
- Knowledge of documentation principles, tools, and processes.
- Experience in public speaking and video production
- Experience in instructional design and/or creating training materials or tutorials
- Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical information.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Prior experience with LMS365 is an asset
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.
- Must have demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers; respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to write correspondence that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within company and external customer organizations.
- Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities.
- Must have the ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic math principles and procedures, ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Must have above average MS Office skills
- Valid passport with ability to travel to USA
