- Verifying and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, numbers, acronyms, hyphen use, itemized lists, and inconsistencies
- Document formatting (e.g., make sure that titles, headings, and subheadings are consistent and noted appropriately in the document; creating consistent formatting of lists, tables, figures, headers, footers)
- Reviewing and correcting content and style (e.g., check for logic and clarity, correct language for the intended audience, and appropriate word usage)
- Reviewing and providing input on document structure (i.e., reorganize/restructure a document to improve flow and logic)
- Creating PDF documents
- Preparing meeting summaries

**Job Requirements**:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in copy editing
- Professional training in copy editing (e.g., Editing Certificate from an established institution like Simon Fraser University or Editors Canada Editing Essentials)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding or experience in natural resource consulting would be an asset
