**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Technician is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, managing billing for group entities, preparing budgets, approving expenses for operating properties, and handling certain administrative tasks..

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
**- BILLING AND REVENUE COLLECTION**
- Follow up closely on accounts receivable for WerkLiv companies.
- Track cash flows for WerkLiv companies (deposits, etc.).
- Prepare monthly progressive invoices for WerkLiv entities for various projects in collaboration with the project cost analyst.
**- PREPARATION OF MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS**
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and monitor budgets for operating properties.
- Review and approve purchase orders submitted in the accounting system for operating properties.
- Monitor rental income and tenant deposits.
- Support the Controller during the preparation of annual financial statements by external auditors.
**- Payments to Suppliers**
- Adhere to deadlines for invoice processing for financing and payments.
- Prepare wire transfers and checks for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Obtain required approvals for wire transfers and checks.
- Send wire transfers and checks to subcontractors and suppliers.
**- Administration of required reporting obligations**
- Respond to GST/QST audits.
- Manage supplier claims and validate related receipts.
- Monitor input tax credits and payable GST/QST and HST for all companies.
**- Assist in managing technology systems & Insurance plans**
- Identify and manage enterprise risks and insurance requirements (construction, liability, building, D/O, group, etc.), warranty plans, RBQ licenses, and regulatory reports.
- Monitor all insurance policies in place with the various companies managed by the WerkLiv group.
- Assist with the information technology systems and ensure continuous improvement.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- College diploma in accounting.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages, orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in software: MRI (an asset), Excel, Word, Slack, Monday.
- Prioritization skills, ability to manage a high volume and variety of tasks.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Diplomatic and collaborative approach with a focus on customer service.
- Strong attention to detail, vigilance, and organizational skills.
- Sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to tolerate stress and adaptability.

TACHES ET RESPONSABILITÉ
**- FACTURATION ET COLLECTION DES REVENUS**
- Faire le suivi des comptes à recevoir des compagnies Werkliv de façon serrée;
- Faire le suivi des flux trésoriers des compagnies Werkliv (dépôts, etc.).
- Préparer les factures progressives mensuelles des entités Werkliv aux différents projets en collaboration avec l’analyste des coûts de projet
**- PRÉPARATION DES ÉTATS FINANCIERS MENSUELS**
- Préparer les états financiers mensuels;
- Préparer et faire le suivi des budgets des propriétés en exploitation
- Réviser et approuver les bons de commandes soumis dans le système comptable pour les propriétés en exploitation
- Faire le suivi des revenus de location et des dépôts des locataires
- Soutenir le Contrôleur pendant la préparation des états financiers annuels par les auditeurs externes
**- PAIEMENTS AUX FOURNISSEURS**
- Respecter les délais pour le traitement des factures en vue du financement et des paiements;
- Préparer les virements (TFE) et les chèques aux sous-traitants et fournisseurs;
- Obtenir les approbations requises pour sur les virements (TFE) et chèques;
- Envoyer des virements (TFE) et chèques aux sous-traitants et fournisseurs.

- ADMINISTRATION DES DIFFÉRENTS DOCUMENTS OBLIGATOIRES** Répondre aux vérifications de TPS/TVQ.
- Suivre les dénonciations des fournisseurs et valider les quittances reliées aux dénonciations
- Faire le suivi des intrants et payables TPS/TVQ et HST de toutes les sociétés.
**- GESTION TECHNOLOGIE DE L’INFORMATION ET POLICES D’ASSURANCES**
- Repérer et gérer les risques d’entreprise et les exigences en matière d’assurance (chantier, responsabilité, bâtiment, D/O, groupe, ), de plan de garantie, de licences RBQ et de rapports réglementaires;
- Faire le suivi de toutes les polices d’assurances en place avec les différentes sociétés gérées par le groupe Werkliv
- Gérer le secteur des technologies de l’information et en assurer l’amélioration continue;
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 an d’expérience pertinente en comptabilité;
- Diplôme d’études collégiales en comptabilité;
- Capacité à communiquer dans les deux langues officielles, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
- Connaissance du domaine de la construction un atout;
- Maîtrise des logiciels: MRI (un atout), Excel, Word;
