We are seeking a person with unique childcare skills to join our family and veterinary hospital this summer. Work can be extended into the fall and New Year if the successful applicant would like, but we are open to hiring a university student that is heading back to school in September.

I am expecting a baby in the next two weeks, and due to a global shortage of veterinarians (especially equine veterinarians) am not able to take a maternity leave. We are looking for a nanny to assist in caring for a brand new, newborn baby ( will likely be 7-10 days old when this position opens).

The position is based from my home (our equine vet clinic is on-site) in Elm Creek, Manitoba. Some travel will be required as I will not be leaving the yard without the baby (and would expect the successful applicant to travel alongside me if required for urgent farm-care appointments to continue to provide support and care for the baby while I work).

The successful applicant will require a Driver's License and dependable vehicle to get to and from our home/vet clinic, but all travel required during the day will not require a personal vehicle.

The successful applicant will be energetic, love babies and being outside, flexible, very organized, and able to tackle independent projects (cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc) during the times that I have the baby.

Pay: $18.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
