Reporting to the Superintendent and/or Construction Manager, the **Foreman/woman** is responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising employees engaged in specific functions on construction projects. Strives to complete their portion of the project on time and on budget. The Foreman/woman brings a high quality and ethical approach to this position and works in a team environment.
- **As a Foreman/woman at Ashton Construction Services Inc. (ACS), you will**:_
- Supervises the construction of a portion of a project under the direction of a superintendent.
- Maintains ongoing communication with the superintendent and/or Construction Manager.
- Takes an active role in the hiring, training, firing and assigning of field personnel.
- Monitors and addresses cost and labour performance of construction projects in conjunction with the Superintendent.
- Carries out the implementation of management decisions, such as construction methods, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Responsible for on-site project administration and reporting of labour, equipment and material adhering to company standards, as it relates to the portion of the project.
- Fully comply with company safety program and oversee subtrades compliance with program.
- Lead and/or attend weekly toolbox meetings.
- Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints and specifications.
- Supervises testing.
- Assists with the preparation of execution plans, ITPs, safe work plans, work assignments, etc.
- Assists with grievance issues, and general site labour issues.
- Represent the company as acting Superintendent for interim periods of time as necessary.
- Assist Superintendent with scheduling subcontractors.
- **To be successful at Ashton Construction Services Inc., you will have the following qualifications and experience**:_
- Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpretation of construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledgeable of various construction methods, engineering and design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as a leader.
- Proficient in a Windows environment and MS Office Suite including Teams and Planner.
- Prior experience with Buildertrend program considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
