**VISION**:

**SCOPE**:
The **Indigenous Community Care Coordinator **will, coach, train, evaluate and support the health team and ONWA membership while ensuring ONWA’s vision, mandate, objectives and community member deliverables are met. The Indigenous Community Care Coordinator is responsible to develop, deliver and facilitate programming and training within the Community Care Program as assigned by the Manager of Community Development.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A post-secondary diploma/degree and a minimum of 3 years work experience in the area of health and community care.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous women’s health and experiences with community care.
- Demonstrated excellent administrative and coordination duties.
- Knowledge of Not-For Profit Organizations Program Delivery.
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback.
- Capacity to solve problems and to see different perspectives.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills and an ability to follow through on assigned duties independently with strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of issues affecting and providing services to Indigenous women, their families and their communities and awareness of available community resources.
- Experience coordinating workshops and/or conferences.
- Experience with resource development and implementation.
- Ability and willingness to travel and to work flexible hours.
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships at all levels and across all functions.
- Decision making skills to set standards and priorities and allocate time and resources.
- Ability to prioritize program deliverables and activities within budget and time considerations.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.
- Reliable vehicle, appropriate vehicle insurance coverage with 2,000,000 liability and valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license.
- Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check. Valid First Aid/CPR.
- Knowledge of Indigenous Culture and Trauma informed practices.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous Language is considered an asset.
