The Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) prosecutes persons charged with Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act, and provincial statute offences. The ACPS promotes safe communities by vigorously prosecuting cases involving serious and violent crime and working with individuals and organizations in the community to identify and implement improved and alternative approaches to the administration of criminal justice.

The Business Analyst (BA) position resides within the Strategy and Innovation Unit of the Operations and Strategic Support Office (OSSO) in the ACPS. OSSO coordinates and collaborates across the division, the ministry, and beyond to ensure prosecutors always have their best day in court, and that the prosecution service as a whole is strategically positioned to achieve just outcomes through fair, fearless, and independent prosecutions.

**Role Responsibilities**:
**As the Business Analyst you will**:

- Coordinate and perform critical analysis and solution definition to support operational requirements and initiatives, ensuring department and division business objectives are met within the framework of several complex pieces of legislation and multi-faceted work processes.
- Manage new development and control activities related to new or changing program initiatives from a business perspective, ensuring business products/targets are achieved.
- Draw on knowledge of business and client needs, business process redesign and project experience, support project management from inception to completion, to ensure improved program/service delivery aligns with the business strategic plans.
- Represent the OSSO branch, division, or ministry on project and research-related committees, and act in consultative capacity coordinating with ministry partners and external stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst working closely with Crown prosecutors and other stakeholders, a typical day would include:
**1. Technical Analysis and Solutions**:

- Working on existing and potential solutions to address identified issues and enhance the efficiency of legal processes. Collaborating with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of technological solutions, keeping in mind the unique demands of legal proceedings and maintaining the highest standards of data security.**2. Stakeholder Engagement Sessions**:

- Leading stakeholder engagement sessions to gather insights into workflow challenges and requirements.
- Facilitating discussions to understand requirements and expectations for ACPS technical tools and analysis. Responding to stakeholder queries and concerns in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood.**3. Training Delivery**:
