Fan Testing

**Key Duties**
- Perform aerodynamic performance testing on fans and blowers using industry approved AMCA standards and methods
- Provide accurate and reliable test data
- Generate test reports, fan and system curves
- Calculate power and efficiency ratings
- Maintain lab test equipment and calibrations
- Maintain accurate and organized test reports filing system
- Perform various electric motor testing as required
- Generate performance charts for use with sales and marketing
- Support technical sales and customer support requests as required
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Product Development Manager
**Minimum requirements**
- College diploma or University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Controls and Instrumentation or HVAC studies preferred (or adequate experience)
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS office (Excel, Outlook etc)
- Strong mechanical ability (able to assemble fans, knowledge of bearings, motors, couplings)
- Strong electrical background (low and high voltage, able to wire motors, single and 3 phase); VFD experience an asset
- Strong problem solving, and oral and written communication skills
- Highly safety oriented
- Organized and meticulous in your work and when following test standards
- Able to multi-task, work independently, manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Has a continuous learning mentality and desire to improve
- Previous fan performance testing and HVAC background an asset
- Able to travel occasionally if required
