Swim Instructor

**Objective**:
Looking for Lifeguard and Swim Instructors to provide safe effective supervision to members. To administer a swim program in accordance with the Red Cross or equivalent program standards and in accordance with facility standards. Also, prevention of accidents, performance of First Aid and Water Rescue, and to provide quality aquatic instructions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer a swim program in accordance with the Red Cross or equivalent program standards and in accordance with facility standards.
- Maintain a safe and supervised pool area at all times.
- Be familiar with the facility emergency procedures, and to assist in an emergency situation.
- Enforce pool rules and health regulations
- Complete all required maintenance duties, chemical tests, and documentation as required.
- Report inadequate pool temperature or chemical readings to senior staff immediately.
- Maintain all required qualifications.

**Required Qualifications**:

- National Lifeguard certified
- Standard First Aid and CPR C certified
- Minimum 16 years of age

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

- Etobicoke, ON M9C 4Y4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Lifeguarding: 1 year (preferred)
- Swim Instructor: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- N.L.S. Certification (required)
- Swim Instructor Certification (required)
