**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Customer Support Services (90%)**
- Communicates with residents regarding department service levels including timelines for response.
- Provides initial guidance and technical support to residents who are accessing online self-service options.
- Processes payments and issues receipts for goods and services.
- Balances debit machine and other till transactions.
- Liaises with other members of the Agriculture Services department, Infrastructure Services Division and organization on a daily basis to ensure the timely provision and exchange of essential information, and to provide updates to customers regarding the status of ongoing files.
- Prepares communications/ correspondences associated with department programs, services and projects as required.
- Monitors/ reviews website content and other program and service content regularly to ensure it is current and easily understandable and accessible to residents and the public and advises department staff of when updates or adjustments are required.

**Other Related Duties (10%)**
- Supports department administrative functions as required, including data and timesheet entry, financial tasks, and records management.
- Provides coverage for other administrative positions in the department.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Ensures proper management and retention of department records in accordance with Sturgeon County’s Corporate Record Management System.
- Adheres to applicable responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the Sturgeon County Health and Safety Management System
- Adheres to all of Sturgeon County’s policies, bylaws, procedures, and processes, as well as align work to the Sturgeon County Corporate values.

**KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE**

**Required**:

- A post-secondary certificate in Office Administration or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience in a clerical role in an office setting.
- Well-developed customer service skills.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate in writing or verbally, in a clear, objective, logical and sensible manner.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand processes, procedures, and policies to perform work in accordance with expectations.
- Ability to take initiative, be independent, resourceful, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate in writing or verbally, in a clear, objective, logical and sensible manner.
- Proficiency when using all Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.).

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of agricultural or environmental services.
- Knowledge of agronomic practices
- Three years or more of related experience is preferred.
- Experience in a municipal environment is considered an asset.
