This position is based out of the Dent office in either Hope or Kelowna, BC. Applicants should expect to work from the head office for 40+ hours a week, as needed.

**Expectations**
- Incorporate data derived from design IFC’s, topographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare drawings, field files, and design modifications.
- Use a variety of software programs for this including, but not limited to, CAD, TBC, PIX4D, and Excel.
- Responsible for tracking and making calculations for excavation and earth-moving operations.
- Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate information into drawings, schematics, and maps.
- Communicate with engineers, or other technical personnel, and work with the construction and production teams during the building of a design.
- Prepare field files, both outbound and inbound, for the crews and the machines in order to document, and expedite, the construction process and to report on it to both the client and the management teams.
- Being organized is a key component to the role.
- Make suggestions for design modifications and solutions that take into account current, and future, field environments/conflicts (not always foreseen at the initial design phase)
- Participate during the bid process for estimating volumes and seeing potential design concerns.

**Qualifications**
- Must have class 5 driver’s license
- Must be fluent in AutoCAD C3D & Trimble Business Center. A skills test will be required
- Experience with Machine Control Systems, ArcGIS and other drafting platforms is an asset
- Any exposure to construction surveying either field work or file prep is an asset
