General Carpenter

Our high-performance team of project and site management professionals tackles the most unique, challenging and impactful residential and commercial projects. We’re currently searching for a **General Carpenter** to help us execute such projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with site supervisor and foremen to perform the tasks at hand
- Read drawings and sketches to fully understand requirements
- Measure and calculate materials as required
- Layout framing, windows, doors, stairs openings ensuring plumb and level
- Frame walls, floors, doors, windows and decks etc
- Install trim, doors and millwork etc
- Formwork for concrete
- Build scaffolding and other structures as required
- Ability to assist in labour work when required
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with all applicable health and safety
regulations
- Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures

**Key Qualifications & Competencies**:

- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in high-end residential construction
- Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail
- Hands on experience with carpentry tools, electrical and manual
- A good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Ability to follow instructions as required
- General knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction
- Strong prioritizing, planning and organizational skills
- Flexible and adaptable, with a constructive approach to problem-solving
