**Group Description**

**Role Summary**:
This person is accountable to supervise warehouse and Material Handling personnel to effectively receive, store, supply and ship material, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and in the preparation of shipment material. Expedites shipments and establishes delivery dates for shipments. Maintains trucking schedule to ensure delivery of goods to customer on time and in correct shipping containers. Ensures all customer/supplier trucks are loaded and unloaded.
- Promote company culture and ensure discipline to all company policies and procedures
- Supervise employees in the performance of their job.
- Coordinates the training of new employees to perform all operations and to follow safety requirements
- Ensures 5S standards are enforced and establishes team to embrace continuous improvement
- Responsible to ensure Employee Development Plans are in place for the department, if applicable

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- 3 to less than 5 years of work related experience.
- Post-Secondary education preferred in Materials and Operations Management
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience
- MS Office Proficiency
- Forklift Certification an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Sound Knowledge of the Employee Standards Act
- Supervisory experience preferred.
