Chilliwack, Canada GFL Environmental Inc. Full time

The Class-3 /1 Truck Driver is responsible for the hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and residential. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery, hauling of industrial roll-off routes, commercial front-load and operation residential rear load and sideload vehicles. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting a vehicle numerous time each day.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Satisfy customer needs for service
Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections, and daily driver logbook
Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by Dispatch.
Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, secure bin on truck, empty bin at transfer station/landfill, return bin to customer site
Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
Required to tarp loads
Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, push front load containers in and out of waste enclosures, as well lift curbside receptacles several times a day requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager
Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws
Work week will fluctuate, work week will be scheduled between Sunday to Saturday

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:
- Experience in a transportation sector (Minimum for insurability)
Driver’s license -class 3 (Automatic and manual transmission trucks)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer focus
Knowledge of the Fraser Valley
Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks daily
Knowledge of industry an asset.
