Junior Counterperson

'Alder Auto Parts, an automotive and industrial parts supplier in the Surrey/Fraser Valley area has an opening for a full-time junior counterperson/shipper - receiver in our Aldergrove location. This is a fast-paced environment suitable for a team player who is flexible, organized and has a strong attention to detail.

**Job Duties**
- Provide counter/telephone sales and exceptional customer service
- Use both computer and paper catalogues to find parts for customers
- Promote parts sales by suggesting related items
- Determine correct parts numbers and “pick” parts for orders received
- Arrange for delivery or shipment of parts as required
- Help maintain orderly parts stock, assist with putting away incoming orders on occasion
- Other duties as required
- Assist the shipper receiver

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a parts-related role, ideally in a light industrial or automotive environment
- Strong computer skills
- Must possess a valid BC drivers’ license
- Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Weight handling of up to 50 lbs. required

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
