**Restoration Technician**

Winmar Property Restoration Specialists is a leading provider of engineering, construction, and environmental services for the industrial and Healthcare markets throughout Guelph, ON.

We are currently seeking a **Remediation Technician** to join our team in **Guelph, ON.**

**Job Summary**:
The remediation technician is responsible for the clean up, remediation, and reconstruction of environmental and industrial sites. This position will be responsible for the safe removal of waste from the site while ensuring proper documentation of work performed on site. The technician will also be responsible for the safe transportation of waste to the site while ensuring documentation of site transport paperwork is completed properly.

**Essential Duties**:

- Safely and effectively transport waste to site while ensuring documentation of site transport paperwork is completed properly.
- Perform safe and efficient retrieval of contaminated items from site while ensuring items are transported to the lab for laboratory testing.
- Identify hazardous waste to be transported and document location and type of waste.
- Safely remove hazardous waste from site while ensuring items are transported to the lab for laboratory testing.
- Document removal process in lab paperwork.
- Complete all required correspondence in a timely manner in order to keep the job flowing smoothly.
- Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and management on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in environmental restoration or other related field preferred.
- Knowledge of construction labor safety requirements preferred. Certifications such as OSHA 10, HHA 10, and IICRC 10 preferred but not required.
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment and stand up for long periods of time.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$31.08 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Guelph, ON N1H 6J4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- restoration: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
