Nortera Foods Inc. produces and packages vegetables for Canadian consumers. We harvest peas and corn locally as well as package frozen vegetables grown in different regions. Our Agricultural Management team is growing and we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Taber, AB Field Shop.

- Supervisory
- Training/teaching/standardizing processes so each harvester rebuild is standardized for our Harvest Season
- Assist in onboarding and other employee matters
- Ensure that work is being done effectively and efficiently
- Time Keeping
- Inventory Management/Budgeting
- The maintenance supervisor will be the main person working with our Inventory management system (updating and assigning work orders) and purchasing of parts and supplies
- Working to get the best buy for the price/lead time
- Picking up parts when needed
- Working to keep repairs within Budget
- Assist with capital projects
- During Harvest
- Ordering fuel during harvest
- Supplying field with parts and supplies
- Helping wash/train, assisting with field moves
- Mechanical Background - Heavy Duty Ticket Preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Class 5 Driver's License and a Clean 5 year Drivers Abstract
- Microsoft Office/Computer Literacy
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Work in a safe and efficient manner
- Be available to work some weekends and holidays during Harvest.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
