Hairstyling Assistant

Six-time award winning salon, Strands Studio is looking to hire a part time assistant. We are seeking a bubbly, upbeat individual to join our already phenomenal team. Previous experience in customer service and hairstyling is a bonus but not necessary.

**Duties**:

- Shampooing hair
- Blow-drying and styling hair
- Cashing client out
- Answering phone calls
- Responding to messages
- Booking and pre-booking appointments
- Assist customers with their retail purchases
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries
- Ensure salon in clean and organized
- Process transactions and handle cash or credit card payments
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Sanitizing hairstyling tools
- Assist with inventory management and restocking merchandise

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Attention to detail for accurate inventory management
- Ability to work well in a team and independently as needed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $15.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week
