**Job Summary**

This position is responsible for programming and producing high precision parts in a timely manner.

**Position Objectives**

Manufacture parts as per the direction of the Team Lead
- Conventional Machining in conjunction with the production router, part print and CAD file.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Production plan to include best use of material, time and tooling

2. Review production router and compare to part print for; part number, revision, material type, GD&T requirement, G Code or Conversational programming and evaluate if enough time has been quoted. If any of the listed items are in question immediately bring forward concerns to Team Lead.

3. Perform in process inspection monitoring to ensure part is being made to match part print/ CAD file and allowable tolerances. Highlight checked dimensions in yellow as proof of process.

4. Perform additional shop duties as required; cutting, deburring, assembly and house keeping.

5. Maintain equipment (complete maintenance check list), tools and work cell in a neat and organized manner

6. Develop fixtures and processes to efficiently produce repeat parts with support of the Team Lead.

7. Follow health and safety procedures.

8. Identify parts that shouldn’t proceed to next production stage due to quality concerns

**Experience & Key Skills**

12. College diploma in related discipline or equivalent experience

13. 3-5 years of experience in a machining role

14. Intermediate/Advance knowledge of Conversational Programming

15. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of GibbsCAM or Mastercam

16. Ability to interpret drawings and models

17. Knowledge of GD&T/G Code and the ability to use precision measuring tools.

18. Knowledge and experience on conventional machine shop equipment is an asset

19. Experience in close tolerance machining with various metals is an asset

20. Good time management skills

21. The ability to work under mínimal supervision

24. Working in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift

- Overtime
