Overview

As a **Manager, Client Services**, you’ll be responsible for managing operations within the department and for leading interdisciplinary claims management teams focused on the rehabilitation and return-to-work of persons injured in the course of their employment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring departmental and organizational goals and key performance indicators are met, promoting and fostering continuing quality improvements and innovation, and creating a supportive work environment with open communication and team work.

**Where you’ll work**

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally attend one of offices in the Lower Mainland.

What you'll do

**As a Manager, Client Services you will**:

- Manage daily operations, including leading and participating in the planning, implementation, and administration of all work activities
- Lead and motivate teams in providing excellent customer service
- Assign work to the team to maintain optimum service levels
- Provide leadership, advice, guidance, and direction on policies, business plans, and operational matters
- Manage and administer the annual operating budget
- Hire and orient employees, set performance goals and mentor and coach employees in achieving performance targets and career development
- Foster a constructive labour relations environment within the department by dealing proactively with issues
- Act as an ambassador for WorkSafeBC to the community with respect to divisional services
- On occasion, travel throughout the province

**Your experience and educational background**:

- A post-secondary degree - A degree in a health-related field is an asset
- A minimum of five years of related experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act and claims adjudication experience is an asset
