**About Us**:
The Ponoka & District Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local businesses through resources, education, and advocacy. Our mission is to create a thriving economic environment for Ponoka and the surrounding district.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- 1. Operations and Administration_
- Oversee daily Chamber functions, policy adherence, and financial health.
- Manage budgets, prepare Board reports, and oversee staff and contractors.
- Lead membership growth and sponsorships, with a focus on large businesses.
- 2. Strategic Leadership and Advocacy_
- Work with the Board on long-term goals, emphasizing effective advocacy for larger businesses.
- Oversee events such as trade shows, business awards, and community promotions.
- Develop and implement funding strategies, including grant proposals.
- 3. Community Engagement_
- Build partnerships with government, neighbouring Chambers, and local organizations.
- Develop marketing and public relations plans to increase visibility and member engagement.
- Represent the Chamber at community and networking events.

**Skills and Strengths**:

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience in budgeting and financial oversight; familiarity with QuickBooks Online.
- Background in sponsorship, grant writing, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office and social media; adaptable with new digital tools.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years in leadership, preferably in nonprofit or business advocacy.
- Experience in business development, sales, or sponsorship, particularly with larger businesses.
