**SUMMARY**
The position provides financial support services for the organization.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Reconciles, and tracks financial transactions (e.g., invoices, employee expenses, contracts, and procurement), and enters data into various financial systems for payment and revenue.
- Reconciles commitments and expenditures for appropriate allocation to departments.
- Provides cost data for preparation of budget estimates and responds to enquiries from suppliers, management, and staff.
- Provides reconciled summaries and reports for monthly financial reporting.
- Month end processes (Credit card reconciliation; JV’s; setting up accruals; etc.)
- Ensures invoices entered for weekly payments with proper documentation and approvals.
- Prepares documentation and approval for wire transfers.
- Vendor maintenance including but not limited to maintaining detailed records for each vendor, and flagging potential vendors to change the payment method to EFT.
- Contributes to the team’s development of internal work documents and practices (e.g., policies, procedures, and tools).
- Provides orientation and training to internal and/or external stakeholders within the area of responsibility.
- Contributes to, participates in, and supports organizational business transformation initiatives.
- Provide documentation and support during external audits. Follow internal procedures to ensure compliance with auditing standards.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of one to two years of full cycle accounts payable/receivable experience.
- Knowledge of financial, purchasing, and contract administration policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in using Excel and the other Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience in financial software such as Sage and Certify is an asset.
- Ability to effectively communicate - both verbally and in writing.

**EDUCATION**
- Post secondary degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
