Santropol Roulant is an intergenerational community non-profit where we grow, prepare, and deliver food to our meals-on-wheels clients that struggle with autonomy, food security, and isolation. In doing so, we create a continuum of engaging services that help build a stronger social fabric, and increase food security and social inclusion for Montrealers.

Our kitchen creates a yearly menu, and prepares approx. 120 catered meals per day, 5 days per week, for our clients and community partners. We’re looking for someone creative with culinary skills to lead our kitchen’s meal preparation shifts, community preservation activities (of donated produce, and vegetables grown at our organic farm), and oversee the volunteers that assist us in our cooking. **Indigenous persons, newcomers and visible minorities are encouraged to apply**

**SCHEDULE & PERKS**
- Full-time, permanent role;
- 35 hours per week (**30 hours of work**, + 5 hours of paid lunch per week);
- $18.30-$19.23 per hour **(with annual salary increases**);
- $1,300.00 + in quarterly bonuses per year, to support leisure and investments;
- 6 paid weeks of time off per year;

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Some education (1-2 years) or course work in culinary arts, commercial or industrial kitchens or other food services OR a combination of experience, education and training equivalent
- Knowledge of cooking, food preservation, volunteer coordination and facilitation
- Ability to express ideas clearly in oral communications, bilingually in both French and English.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Artistic and creative ability an asset
- Available to work a range of days between Monday and Saturday (ability to take on a Tuesday - Saturday schedule is an asset)

**HORAIRE ET AVANTAGES**

**LES EXIGENCES**
- 1 à 2 années d’expérience en arts culinaires, cuisines commerciales ou industrielles, ou autre services alimentaires OU une combinaison d’expériences, de formations et d’éducation équivalente
- Connaissances en cuisine, préservation alimentaire, coordination de bénévoles, et facilitation
- Capacité à s’exprimer clairement à l’orale en anglais comme en français
- Capacité à suivre des directives et respecter les échéances
- Capacités de créativité et d’innovation un atout
- Disponibilité pour travailler un éventail de jours entre le lundi et le samedi (possibilité de prendre un horaire de mardi - samedi est un atout)
