**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations and management of our Frank And Oak store in downtown Montreal. This position assists the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and ensuring the overall success of the store. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supervising and motivating the store team, maintaining inventory, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Team Leadership and Development**
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new team members
- Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to the store staff
- Encourage a collaborative and customer-focused work environment

**Customer Service**
- Ensure that exceptional customer service is consistently provided by all store employees
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations effectively and professionally
- Strive to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers

**Sales and Performance**:

- Work with the Store Manager to set and achieve sales goals
- Monitor sales performance and inventory levels
- Implement strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed targets

**Inventory Management**
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels
- Conduct regular stock checks to prevent overstock or understock situations
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate record-keeping

**Visual Merchandising**
- Contribute to the overall store layout and visual presentation
- Ensure that merchandise is attractively displayed, priced, and well-maintained
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards

**Store Operations**
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage cash handling, banking, and financial transactions accurately
- Enforce store policies and procedures

**Loss Prevention**
- Assist in preventing theft and loss by maintaining store security and following loss prevention measures
- Cooperate with investigations related to loss or theft incidents

**Administrative Tasks**
- Complete paperwork and administrative duties related to staffing, payroll, and scheduling
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to higher management

**WHO YOU ARE**
- A genuinely nice human being
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or a degree in business-related fields is a plus
- Fully bilingual: English & French
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and retail operations
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
