**Health and Safety Coordinator - East**

**This is a Bilingual position (French & English).**

The Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible to ensure that H & S requirements are in place and to maintain compliance. This position will be the primary contact for any incidents in the area, including on-site visits, customer liaison as appropriate, and audits. The H & S Coordinator supports the H & S Compliance Lead and the Environmental & Quality Lead with accurate data and reports. This position reports directly to the H & S Compliance Lead. Preferred location is Lively, ON. Travel is required, mostly in Canada East, with some cross-over to other Canadian locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Main contact for all Epiroc team members and sites for SHEQ requirements
- Primary contact for any incident in the Eastern Canada region (Quebec and Maritimes)
- Onsite visits and audits for adherence to requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly reports

EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge/experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 - preferred
- Knowledge in incident investigation, hazard assessments, return to work process.
- Knowledge in Federal, Provincial, and municipal regulations
- Previous experience in the mining or manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Previous training or Train the Trainer experience

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

- Post secondary school education
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

INTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent attendance
- Clear driving record

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills, able to present in front of an audience
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Willing to travel more than 50% of the time
- Ability to represent Epiroc in a professional and ethical manner
- Bilingual (French/English) is required

EXPÉRIENCE:

- Connaissances acquises ou expérience de travail avec les normes ISO 9001, ISO 14001 ou ISO 45001.
- Connaissances en matière d'enquête sur les incidents, d'évaluation des risques et de processus de retour au travail.
- Connaissances acquises en enquête sur les incidents, en évaluation des dangers et sur le processus de retour au travail.
- Connaissances acquises sur les règlements fédéraux, provinciaux et municipaux.
- Expériences de travail au sein de l’industrie minière ou manufacturière sont un atout.
- Formation préalable ou expérience en formation de formateurs.

FORMATION ET CONNAISSANCES:

- Diplôme d’études postsecondaires
- Solides compétences avec la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint et Visio)

QUALIFICATION INTERNE:

- Excellente assiduité
- Dossier de conduite vierge

COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES:

- Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles
- Bonnes habiletés pour la communication et capacité à parler devant un auditoire
- Capacité de travailler avec un minimum de supervision
- Disposition à voyager plus de 50 % du temps
- Aptitude à représenter Epiroc de façon professionnelle et éthique
- Bilinguisme exigé (français et anglais)
