The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of shipments by securing quotes and capacity with qualified carriers and proactively monitoring the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction. This role works within a team environment to provide excellent external and internal customer service through accurate and efficient coordination and communication of activities.

**Here are some of the different activities you’ll be asked to do**:

- Responsible for overall order management, including data entry, procurement of bulk, pallets, and/or stock items, expediting, and updating information in the business system (internal and customer portals), preparing status reports, obtaining, and storing correspondence and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with customers and carriers to build and maintain long-term, trusted partnerships, acting as the main point of contact for questions, appointment times, delays, etc.
- Management of product returns from the point of customer request through to completion.
- Assist and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.
- Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier options.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing delivery appointments for each day.
- Build and track freight loads (FTL and LTL) in the Company’s Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Communicate with the Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams on delivery status, order changes, and out-of-stock/low-stock inventory.
- Coordinate with the Customer Service team on customer samples deliveries to support shipments.
- Work closely with Planning to identify and flag shipment risk of planned budgeted orders.
- Manage shipping functions such as quarantine shipments, maintenance/engineering support, and holiday calendars.
- Negotiate with trucking companies to select carriers and negotiate pricing to prepare quotes for clients.
- Maximize brokerage coverage by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and suppliers.
- Complete routing, and/or request appropriate documents to facilitate the pickup/delivery agents, airlines, and clients.
- Process US and Canadian paperwork required for importing bulk and components and for exporting finished goods.
- Oversite of customer bulk audit where required.
- Fulfil other Warehouse duties as required, including but not limited to maintaining the incoming receipt log, support the setup of system-generated paperwork, and coordination of delivery appointments if required.
- Ensure that all requirements of JHG Quality Management System are followed.
- Ensure all applicable Health & Safety Management System policies and procedures and Environment (ISO 14001) Management System policies and procedures are followed.

**If you’ve got**:

- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of freight forwarding/3PL experience.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations for over-the-road and international shipments.
- Experience working with FTL and LTL shipments.
