**Job Summary**:
The successful applicant will report to the Technical Service Manager in Toronto to provide technical support to the users of COLTENE SciCan’s products as well as to COLTENE SciCan’s dealers/distributors.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot, Repair, Install and maintain all SciCan equipment in accordance with the assignments of the Technical Service Manager
- Be willing to learn new products and cross train effectively within the department
- Build strong relationships with SciCan’s customers, to address their concerns with the TSM and to help resolve conflict
- Document the service provided, including, unit cycles, serial numbers, cycle faults, defects, corrective measures taken, spare parts used, in SciCan’s Management Information System
- Provide telephone support to the distributors and end users of SciCan’s products
- Comply with SciCan’s safety policies and hospitals’ safety policies if on their premises
- Thoroughly study all product materials, including Operator’s and Service Manuals, bulletins, department SOP’s, etc and adhere to them when performing service on SciCan’s products
- Report technical issues and provide input into their resolution
- Attend technical and other training sessions at SciCan and at Suppliers’ premises
- Comply with SciCan’s policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Electronics / Mechanical background
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a technical service setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in troubleshooting via the use of the telephone
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Ability to work well in a team setting and to build both internal and external relationships
- A high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Experience in the use of all associated test equipment, including multimeters
- Soldering skills
- Valid driver’s license & to perform physical work/lifting
- Ability to travel as necessary for training and field service calls
- Fluency in French, Spanish or Japanese language is an asset
- CET technical certificate is an asset
- Ability to multitask and complete work within given time parameters
