**Position Overview**:
ACE Community College is seeking a motivated and results-driven **Employment Specialist** to join our team. In this role, you will focus on creating and maintaining employer relationships, identifying job opportunities, and coordinating practicum placements that align with our students' educational and career goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Employer Relations**:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local and regional employers.
- Promote ACE Community College programs and students to employers through outreach and networking activities.
- Represent the college at job fairs, employer events, and community engagement initiatives.
**Job Placement**:
- Source and secure job opportunities that match students’ skills and program of study.
- Connect students with employers for full-time, part-time, and internship positions.
- Work with employers to develop tailored placement programs if needed.
**Practicum Coordination**:
- Organize and oversee practicum placements, ensuring compliance with program requirements and employer expectations.
- Provide ongoing support to students and employers throughout the practicum process.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during placements to ensure a positive experience for all parties.
**Student Support**:
- Conduct career-readiness workshops on resume building, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with students to understand their career aspirations and address their needs.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Career Counseling, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in career services, employment services, or recruitment.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a proven ability to engage employers and industry professionals.
- Knowledge of labor market trends and workplace requirements.
- Experience working with students or in an educational environment is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
