**PLUMBING APPRENTICE**

Department of Facilities Management

(1-Year Contractual Position)

**DUTIES**

The successful applicant will be required to perform plumbing tasks including installing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment in various buildings on the Main Campus and other MUN properties throughout the city. Duties include maintaining, repairing, and servicing all types of plumbing and filtering systems, including low pressure steam heating systems, hot water systems, and equipment; installing salt and fresh water pumping systems; repairing hot and cold water lines, low pressure steam lines, air lines, and gas lines; repairing or replacing faulty taps, valves, traps, control pumps, fixtures and equipment; maintaining roof, floor and equipment drains; carrying out minor new installations as required; and performing other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**SALARY **$19.58-$27.11 per hour based on year of apprenticeship program

In accordance with NAPE 7801 collective agreement
