Automation Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an Automation Maintenance Technician for our Contract Logistics office based in Mississauga.
- ** Your Role **:As Automation Technician you will be responsible for trouble shooting our automated warehouse system including electrical controls, motors, drive systems, conveyors, pneumatics and all auxiliary equipment. You will report to the site manager.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:
- New equipment installation working together with the plant and engineering teams.
- Arrange for back-up rental equipment if necessary.
- Ensure all escalations are resolved on a timely basis in coordination with all team members.
- Ensure all equipment is tested, and maintained according to the manufacturers warranty and specifications.
- Regular contact with third party vendors for equipment maintained and repaired by them; including compressors, MHE, HVAC, and Sprinkler, equipment.
- Ensure all corrective actions from audits, are completed promptly.
- Provide technical advice and support to upper management.
- Arrange for back-up rental equipment if necessary.
- Review historical data, and control charts to determine causes of equipment failure.
- Manage unscheduled downs and respond to the needs of the Operations team.
- Support, and personally contribute to our continuous improvement philosophy.
- Respond positively towards changing business parameters. Support peers and the leadership team.
- Promote safe work environment and support HSE policies;
**Your Skills and Experiences**:
- 1+ year experience as a technician with automated warehouse systems.
- Familiar with PLC troubleshooting with exposure to Seimens
- Preferable to have a college degree as a mechanical, electrical or automation technician
