**Purpose of this position**

To be the process owner with accountability for the shared services operations including requestion to pay and invoice to cash transactions for all DPW operations.
- Overseeing accounting operations and management of the Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, and subledgers integrated with Maximo (Goods received but not invoices and Inventory) areas.
- Ensure transactional process efficiency in line with operational service level agreements for business units being served.

**Key responsibilities**
- Responsible for overall management of the accounts payable function, ensuring vendor invoices are captured and payments are approved on a timely and accurate basis
- Manage Employee expenses & corporate cards process and payments
- Ensuring the accurate and timely billing of invoices to customers in line with tariffs and contracts
- Manage the collection of all payments from customers and ensuring PCI compliance for any credit card receipts
- Responsible for all subledgers (AP,AR, & Purchasing accruals), ensuring accounts are reconciled monthly and agree to other operating systems
- Manage all shared services staff including Manager Billing, Accounts Payable Supervisor, AR Specialists and Accounting administration
- Develop and maintain internal controls associated with requestion to pay, invoice to cash & longshore payroll processing
- Development & monitor compliance for requestion to pay, invoice to cash & Payroll policies
- Lead quarterly AP/ AR meetings with business units
- Measure department KPI’s & develop scorecards, to ensure compliance to business unit Service Level Agreements
- Manage vendor self-service portal
- Train and mentor staff within the Shared services department
- Develop annual and long term action plans for the shared services department

**Qualifications, Job Function, Technical Knowledge and Skills**
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and an accounting designation
- Min 5 Years’ experience in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of core financial processes
- Experience in implementation and improvement of Finance systems and processes
- Ability to build and manage relationship with stakeholders
- Leadership skills to motivate & develop staff
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience in managing a centralized shared service team would be an asset
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries
