**JOB OPPORTUNITY NOTICE***

**ESL & LINC Night School Supervisor**

**Temporary Contract September 5, 2023 to January 31, 2024**

**Hourly rate $35.70/hour***

Reporting to the Principal of Continuing Education (CE) and the ESL & LINC Program Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible to work in collaboration with the ESL & LINC Program Supervisor to manage the Adult ESL night school. The incumbent will provide support for administrative and academic programs including learners and staff.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Manage staff and learners at night school locations including academic and procedural functions
- Support making coverage arrangements when instructors are absent
- Support learner attendance policies and HARTs data entry
- Support the delivery and implementation of staff development and/or training at night school locations
- Hours are Monday to Thursday 5:15 pm to 9:15 pm - 16 hours/week
- Work at multiple locations including City Learning Centre, Parkway Learning Centre and Hill Park Learning Centre

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent computer skills including the HARTs database, Microsoft Office, and shared document platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of ESL and LINC curriculum guidelines, Canadian Language Benchmarks and Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA)
- Minimum three years of experience delivering ESL instruction or conducting assessments in community programs
- Demonstrated experience providing exemplary service to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- TESL Ontario-OCELT certification is an asset
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is required
