**Position Title**:Centre Director
**Location**:Squamish, BC (for applicants looking to relocate, relocation assistance can be provided)
**Terms**:Permanent, Full-Time, 37.5 to 40 hours per week
**Shift**: Monday to Friday, shifts varying between 7:30am - 4:30pm
**Salary**:$28.00 to $30.00 per hour with the $4/hour top up for Licensed ECE’s as per the ECE Wage Enhancement Initiative

**Program Information**:
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- Early Childhood Educator License
- High level of organizational and customer service skills
- Diplomas, certificates or other evidence of training related to child growth/development
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Current First Aid certificate
- Three successful reference checks
- 2+ years management experience

**Major Responsibilities**:
- To read, understand and follow all Paragon Kids Inc. policies, Child Care Licensing Regulations and legal requirements
- To interact directly with the caregivers to understand their strengths and abilities
- To provide staff with tools and resources to complete planning and implementing of a consistent child-centred program, in accordance with Paragon Kids standards
- To establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships
- To maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces, washrooms and outdoor space
- To ensure the centre has everything it needs to run in accordance with Paragon Kids standards and Licensing requirements
- To ensure that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and Paragon Kids requirements
- To release children only to those authorized by the parents/guardians and to ask for identification in order to ensure that the authorized pick-up has been verified
- To work with the team to deliver a high quality and age appropriate program based on Paragon Kids curriculum and to facilitate all staff meetings and other training as necessary
- To monitor staff and complete regular performance evaluations
- To address staff issues with Performance Improvement Plans or termination
- To maintain confidentiality of all information related to the centre, the children, their families, and staff
- To share workshop information with staff to ensure professional development is accessible
- To maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- To ensure orders are placed to maintain stock levels of supplies and groceries
- To work with suppliers and delivery persons to schedule deliveries and complete orders
- To maintain waitlist and communication with all inquiries
- To maintain enrollment to ensure all spaces are filled by registering new families when needed
- To ensure child and staff files are kept recent
- To ensure all child information is in Sandbox accurately
- To interview and hire staff as needed
- To input payroll hours
- To create monthly parent invoices through the sandbox app
- To strive for positive morale and team acceptance and support
- To find solutions when problems or hurdles arise
- To submit monthly government funding
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
