Join our team as a Head Baker, bringing your expertise in the art and science of bread making to the heart of The Piping Kettle Soup Co. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our restaurants and your very own storefront, with a compensation package comprising a competitive base salary and commission based on bakery performance.

**Position Overview**

**Artisan Bread Production**:Oversee the daily production of a variety of artisan breads, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to established recipes.

**Recipe Development**:Play a pivotal role in creating and refining unique and innovative bread recipes that align with Piping Kettle Soup Co.'s culinary vision.

**Bread Supply Chain**:Take charge of supplying freshly baked artisan bread to Piping Kettle Soup Co. restaurants in London and the surrounding areas. Coordinate with restaurant managers to ensure timely deliveries and maintain optimal inventory levels.

**Storefront Sales Opportunity**: Spearhead the opportunity to sell your bread creations directly to customers through our storefront. Develop and execute strategies to market and sell your bread, creating an additional revenue stream for both you and Piping Kettle Soup Co.

**Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a small team of bakers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Train staff not only on baking techniques but also on the art of recipe development, encouraging a culture of experimentation and innovation.

**Quality Assurance**: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all bread products meet the franchise's standards for taste, texture, and appearance. Regularly evaluate and adjust recipes to enhance overall product quality.

**Inventory Management**: Manage inventory levels and ordering of baking ingredients, minimizing waste.

**Customer Interaction**: Interact with customers to understand their preferences, gather feedback on new recipes, and build a loyal customer base. Use customer insights to refine and improve recipes based on real-world preferences.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role within a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of artisan bread production techniques and a passion for creating unique bread recipes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Creative mindset with the ability to contribute to menu development.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

**Compensation**:

- Competitive base salary
- Commission based on bakery performance
