Dance Instructor

Location : 1331 Westhills Dr, Langford, BC V9B 0L9

**Positions Available**:

- Dance Instructor
- Start Date : Feb 15, 2024

**Wage**:

- $35-$40 per hour based on experience

**Working Hours**:

- Instructors: Flexible schedules, including weekday evenings and weekends (Full-Time or Part-Time)

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct engaging ballet/Jazz/Hip-Hop/Tap classes for students of various ages and skill levels ( kids from 3 years to teenagers)
- Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with the Fine Arts Centre's mission.
- Provide constructive feedback to support students' technical and artistic development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with other instructors and contribute to the overall artistic vision of the Fine Arts Centre.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Ballet/Jazz/Hip-Hop/Tap Instructor.
- In-depth knowledge of the above techniques, terminology, and classical repertoire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to various age groups and skill levels.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of a new fine arts center.

**Qualifications**:

- Certification or degree in dance or a related field (preferred).
- Previous teaching experience in a dance studio or fine arts setting.
- Professional performance background (preferred).

- Victoria, BC V9B 0S2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 2 years (required)
