Liquor Store Clerk

**Company description**

We are the new sister store to Liquor Planet (at Millstream and Treanor) and are looking to bring the same big store customer service to our smaller scale operation. Currently looking for someone who has a flexible schedule and is willing to work 2-4 shifts a week.

Currently looking for staff who are willing to work 3:15 - 11:15 and 2:00 - 10:00. Midday shifts can be added when possible. Must be able to lift boxes of 20+ lbs as important duties include putting away liquor orders and organizing back storage room. We look forward to meeting you.

FLOOR/CASHIER POSITIONS

Position Summary (Full time & Part time)

The Store Clerk position is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers and for maintaining excellent Store operating standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintains a balanced float while on shift and counts cash drawer at end of shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies
- Initiates opportunities for additional sales
- Faces and displays merchandise
- Ensures products are scanning correctly and advises Management of any discrepancies
- Handles products and operates equipment according to regulations and Company policies and procedures
- Demonstrates consistent growth in product knowledge and product changes
- Participates in maintaining a prosperous and enjoyable work environment for all staff

Other Related Duties
- Cleans and maintains Store and equipment according to schedules and policies
- Maintains a consistent commitment to serving customers while working to deadlines

Open availability and flexibility to work nights and weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun 3:15-11:15pm)

**Requirements**:

- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have/will receive Serving it Right certification
- Must have/will receive BCLC certification

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Victoria, BC v9b 3v3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail Associates & Cashiers: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
