**HSE Coordinator Position Summary**
Based out of the Grande Prairie Office, the HSE Coordinator is responsible for being a steward of the Safety Culture that drives Weaver Group’s continuous effort to protect its people, the public and the environment. In this role, the HSE coordinator is responsible to mentor, monitor and report on all aspects of organizational compliance with federal and provincial regulations, client expectations and company requirements. By being a support to the operations of Weaver Group, the HSE Coordinator will be expected to take part in project, facility and office safety programs and development. Reporting directly to senior operations leadership, the HSE coordinate delivers support to operations in the day-to-day functions, and periodic reporting of leading and lagging indicators.
**Responsibilities**
The HSE Coordinator is Responsible for, but not limited to:
- Maintain agency programs and procedures specific to pipeline operations.
- conduct HSE training sessions for employees and contractors involved in pipeline operations.
- collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks associated with pipeline operations.
- Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist with safety plans pre job hazard assessments and risk assessments as required.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, OHS regulations an emerging trend related to Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations environmental standards and client expectations.
- Monitor compliance of new hires current workers and subcontractors including proof of training and contractor equipment maintenance.
- Update and distribute safety resource is including job hazard assessments field level hazard assessments logbooks safety meeting books and truck and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate with management team to plan and facilitate health and safety toolbox meetings.
- Develop and facilitate site emergency response plans and emergency response drills.
- Maintain records of relevance safety statistics to be communicated within WGL and monitor safety statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that noncompliance conditions root cause and corrective actions have been identified and corrected.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
**Qualifications/Experience**
- Experience in Pipeline, Facility and/or Civil Construction an asset
- NCSO, OH&S, CRSP certified, or equivalent considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an HSE role.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of OH&S/OSHA Acts & Regulations.
- Strong Computer Skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Be a results-oriented leader capable of working productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mentoring skills.
- Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills.
**Position Details**
- Position based out of the Weaver Group’s, Grande Prairie office.
- Monday - Friday, weekends on call.
- Remuneration based on experience.
**Required Certificates/Training**
- H2S
- Standard First Aid, CPR
- CSO
- Class 5 Drivers License and provide abstract.

**Salary**: $53,178.93-$121,298.91 per year
