**POSTION DESCRIPTION**:
The Cage Main Bank Cashier is directly responsible for the operations and transactions within the main bank and to promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of service to all internal patrons of the Great Blue Heron Casino. Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company, the department and the AGCO.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Promote the values of the Great Blue Heron Cultural Compass by example at all times and guide staff in adopting these values as a way of operating daily at the Great Blue Heron
- Responsible for the safeguard of the entire inventory of the assigned area.
- Ensure the policy of confidentiality within the company is adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that all in-house transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
- To ensure all Cage, Company and ICM policies and procedures are followed
- All paperwork must be neat, concise, accurate and legible
- All cage transactions occurring during the shift which include but are not limited to the following:

- Processing, balancing and the verifications of all related paperwork received from cashiers and/or Supervisors(jackpots, hopper fills, kiosk short/over pays, coupons, chips, token, tickets) in exchange for cash
- Prepare and balance floats
- Preparing fill and balance Kiosk including data input and completing all related paperwork as well as completing documentation for main sheet
- Responsible for gaming and slot buys as well as prepare bank deposits/order cash
- Maintain a high level of accuracy to stay within variance guidelines
- To maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a professional image is portrayed to the internal/external patrons
- Reports and perform duties as required by the Cage Supervisor in relation to the operation of the department

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year previous banking or money handling skills preferred.

**Knowledge/Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- To logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents, receive instructions
- Possess high-quality interpersonal skills
- Set and achieve high standards of performance and customer service skills
- The capabilities to multi task under time constraints.
- Perform basic math skills as well as computer knowledge of MS word, excel and outlook
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or kneel as required
- Work with tools or equipment pertaining to job requirements
- Perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects of approximately 40 pounds

**HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), regulations and internal health and safety policies and procedures including any departmental policies.
- To help create a healthy work environment by not condoning, participating in or reporting, as you become aware, any harassment, discrimination, gossiping or unfair treatment of anyone
- Use and wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing and CSA steel toed safety shoes required by the Great Blue Heron Casino
- Proper hygiene and grooming at all times
- Report to Supervisor any issue or defective equipment or protective device, which could endanger anyone
- Report to Supervisor any contravention of the OHSA regulations, or the Great Blue Heron Casino safety policies and procedures by another employee
- Inspect work area daily and report any observed hazards to the supervisor
- DO NOT remove or make ineffective any protective device
- DO NOT use or operate any equipment, machine, device or otherwise work in a manner that may endanger anyone. Use equipment and material only in the manner intended
- DO NOT engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
- Know, understand and implement safe work practices and procedures.
- Use equipment and material only in the manner intended.
- Adherence to WHMIS at all times.
- Report all injuries, accidents and unusual conditions immediately to the Supervisor.
- Inspect work area daily and report any hazards immediately to the Supervisor
- Use proper lifting, bending, pushing and pulling techniques
